About X Air Remote:

 
 

 

X Air Remote is an iPhone App to remotely control the Faders, Mutes and Pans on a Behringer X Air Mixing Console via WiFi. Imagine the advantages of being able to wander around an auditorium, tweaking mixes and settings from your iPhone!

Note that the X Air Console responds to changes made on the iPhone. If changes are made on the Console, the faders on the iPhone move accordingly (known as 'handshaking')

A typical setup is shown below:

The hardware/software requirements are as follows:

Hardware: iPhone 3GS or later, suitable Wireless Router or built in Router, X Air Console with latest firmware.

Software: iOS7 or later.

1. Top Scrollbar

2. Auxs View Button - press to view Aux Sends and Pan(s) for this channel

3. Channel Fader

4. Channel on/off button

5. Fader Overview/navigation buttons - press to quickly navigate to desired faders

6. Control buttons - click to select desired fader 'layer' (Similar to 'Sends on Fader')

7. Settings Button - click to show 'Settings' view

8. Help Button - click to show 'Help' view

9. Status Label - green background when changes made from within the App, red when from outside

10. Gain Text Field - shows fader gain - click to enter a gain value via the keyboard

11. Connection Status indicator - shows whether connected to X Air console - click to open 'Settings'

Main Faders/Aux Pages:

 
 

 

Channel/Aux Sends View

Here you can access all the faders and switches for all the input channels of the X Air. When in 'Main' view, you are accessing the main channel faders. Selecting Auxs (#6 in Overview) is the equivaleb=nt of 'Sends on Fader'. You can quickly navigate to the channels you require by using the 'nav' buttons (#5 in Overview). You can also enter a fader gain by clicking the gain field (#10 in Overview) and typing in a gain value. Double-tapping a fader sets it to 0dB.

BUS/FX/DCA pages:

MST/DCA View

Here you can access all of the BUS/FX/DCA masters. You can quickly navigate to the channels you require by using the 'nav' buttons (#5 in Overview). You can also enter a fader gain by clicking the gain field (#10 in Overview) and typing in a gain value. Double-tapping a fader sets it to 0dB.

From Top to Bottom:

1. X Air IP Address Text Field - Click here to enter the IP Address of your X AirConsole

2. X Air Connection Status Indicator. Green for connected, red for not connected

3. WiFi connection label - shows the SSID of the network to which you are connectred

4. IP Address of your iOS device

5. Soft Orientation Lock Switch (iPhone only)
